Terms of Service for GeneChat

Welcome to GeneChat (also referred to as "GChat"), a streaming chat web application operated by Exordium, LLC. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use GeneChat.

1. Age Requirements

  • Minimum Age: You must be at least 13 years old to use GeneChat.
  • Purchases: If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to make donations, purchase credits, or buy memberships on the platform.

2. Account and Use of Service

  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Prohibition on Personal Information: For your safety and the safety of others, you may not share, post, or solicit personally identifiable information (PII)—such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, or financial details—in the public chat or private messages on GeneChat.

3. Payments, Credits, and Memberships

GeneChat offers various ways to support the platform and enhance your experience, including donations, credit purchases, store purchases, and memberships.

  • Payment Processing: All transactions are processed securely through our third-party payment provider, Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Virtual Credits: Any virtual credits purchased or earned on GeneChat have zero cash value and cannot be cashed out or exchanged for real-world currency. Credits do not expire and may only be redeemed for eligible on-platform purchases.
  • Refund Policy: All sales, including donations, credit purchases, and memberships, are final. Any refunds are granted solely at the discretion of the GeneChat Administrators and Moderation team.

4. Community Rules and User Conduct

We strive to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. By using GeneChat, you agree to strictly adhere to the following rules:

  • No Harassment: Harassment, bullying, hate speech, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind is strictly prohibited.
  • No Overly Sexual Conduct: GeneChat is not a platform for explicit content. Overly sexual conduct, sharing of sexually explicit media, or sexually soliciting other users is forbidden.
  • Compliance with Law: You may not use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

To keep GeneChat safe, we employ both automated and human moderation systems.

  • Auto-Moderator: GeneChat utilizes an automated moderation system. By using the platform, you agree to accept all rulings, timeouts, or bans issued by the auto-moderator.
  • Admin and Moderator Authority: System administrators and human moderators have the absolute final say on all matters, disputes, and rule interpretations. By participating in GeneChat, you explicitly agree to abide by their decisions without appeal.
  • Termination: Exordium, LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to GeneChat at any time, without notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

GeneChat is provided on an "as-is" basis. Exordium, LLC makes no warranties regarding the uptime, reliability, or security of the platform. We shall not be held liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.

7. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
